Laser alignment & vibration analysis test for rotating equipments
To ensure optimal performance of pumps and rotating equipment, start with laser alignment by securing the laser sensor and detector on both the motor and pump shafts. Measure shaft misalignment, then make precise adjustments to the motor’s position until alignment is within the recommended tolerance. Once aligned, securely tighten all bolts and verify final readings. Next, proceed with vibration analysis by attaching vibration sensors to critical points on the pump and motor. Run the equipment at normal operating conditions and record vibration data, analyzing for imbalances, misalignment, looseness, or bearing defects. If any abnormal readings are detected, make necessary corrections such as rebalancing, re-aligning, or replacing worn components. Finally, verify improvements with a follow-up test before returning the equipment to full operation.
